Abstract:Cilj študije je bilo raziskati vpliv lokacije napajalnika (znotraj boksa (NOT, n=2), v izpustu boksa (ZUN, n=2), in kombinacije (KOMBO, znotraj (n=1) in izpustu (n=1)) na ležanje in izločanje pri prašičih v zadnji fazi pitanja (visoka gostota naselitve) v poletnem obdobju. Bokse smo razdelili v 5 območij, v notranje (6) in v 4 zunanja namenjena za izločanje (7, 8, 9, 10). Kot prvo smo želeli ugotoviti, ali bo skupina ZUN manj izločala na notranjih tleh kot skupina NOT in KOMBO, in drugo, ali bo skupina ZUN v zunanjem območju več izločala, in ležala v posredni bližini napajalnika (območja 8, 9, 10) kot skupina NOT in KOMBO. Poleg tega smo kvantificirali spremembe v zgoraj omenjenih obnašanjih čez dan. V ZUN skupini so v območju 6 statistično manj urinirali (P = 0,002) in blatili (P = 0,016) v primerjavi s skupino NOT in KOMBO. Skupina ZUN je opravila statistično značilno več uriniranj v območjih 9 (P < 0,001) in 10 (P < 0,001). Blatenje je bilo pogosteje opravljeno v območju 10 (P = 0,006) v skupini ZUN v primerjavi s skupino NOT. V skupini ZUN je bilo statistično značilno več ležanj v območju 7 (P = 0,009), 8 (P = 0,049) in 10 (P = 0,002) v primerjavi s skupino NOT in KOMBO.

Title:Effect of Drinker Position on Lying Down, Urination and Defecation in Pigs During Summer Season
Abstract:The aim of the study was to investigate the location influence of the drinkers (inside pen (IN, n = 2) in the release pen (OUT, n = 2), and combination (KOMBO, inside (n = 1) and release (n = 1)) on laying and secretion in pigs in the last stage of fattening (high stocking density) during summer. Pens were divided into 5 areas, one internal (6) and 4 externals (7, 8, 9, 10). First, effords were made to determine whether the OUT group would excrete less on the internal floors than the IN and KOMBO groups, and second, whether the OUT group would perform more secretions and lying in the outer areas in the indirect vicinity of the drinkers (areas 8, 9, 10) than the IN group and KOMBO. In addition, we quantified changes in the above-mentioned behaviours throughout the day. In the OUT group, there was statistically less urination in area 6 (P = 0.002) and defecation (P = 0.016) compared to IN and KOMBO. The OUT group performed statistically significantly more urination in areas 9 (P <0.001) and 10 (P <0.001). Defecation was more frequently performed in the area of 10 (P = 0.006) in the OUT group than in the IN group. In the OUT group, there were statistically significantly more lyings in area 7 (P = 0.009), 8 (P = 0.049) and 10 (P = 0.002) compared to the IN and KOMBO groups. The results indicate that at higher temperatures and higher stocking density, the OUT group excreted less on the internal floors and, above all, performed more excretions in the outer areas 9, 10, while lying in the area 7, 8, 10.
