Abstract:
Pojav družbenih omrežij je s sabo prinesel veliko sprememb v vsakdanjem življenju. Obstaja teorija, da družbena omrežja povečujejo občutek socialne izolacije. V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali prav to vez med uporabo družbenih omrežij in povečanim občutkom socialne izolacije. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali pojme družbeno omrežje, socialna izolacija in socialna vključenost. Predstavili smo tudi lastnosti družbenih omrežij, individualne dejavnike osamljenosti ter povezavo med družbenimi omrežji in socialno izolacijo. Empirični del je zajemal raziskavo ankete, v kateri je sodelovalo 112 udeležencev. Na podlagi njihovih odgovorov smo naredili analizo, ki nam je dala večji vpogled v to problematiko.

Title:
Social media and social isolation
Abstract:
The advent of social networks has brought with it many changes in everyday life. There is a theory that social networks increase perceived social isolation. This thesis explores the link between social network use and increased feelings of social isolation. In the theoretical part we have described the concepts of social networks, social isolation and social inclusion. We also researched the characteristics of social networks, individual factors of loneliness and the connection between social networks and social isolation. The empirical part covered a survey of 112 participants. We analysed their answers, which gave us more insight into this issue.
