Raziskovalne metode: Za raziskavo smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo. Podatke smo zbrali s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki smo ga anketiranim ponudili s pomočjo spletne aplikacije 1KA. Anketa je vsebovala 14 vprašanj in 8 trditev. Diskusija in zaključek: Uporaba zaščitnih sredstev pred nevarnim UV sevanjem pripomore k bolj zdravi koži in v veliki meri lahko prepreči nastanek kožnega raka.

Title:Awareness of nursing students about skin cancer as consequence of excessive sunbathing
Abstract:Starting point and purpose: Skin cancer is a disease that affects many people around the world, due to excessive exposure to dangerous UV radiation. Implementation of protection against excessive UV radiation is crucial in preventing diseases.. The purpose of the study was to present skin cancer due to excessive sunbathing and to determine the awareness of students about exposure to excessive UV radiation. Research methodology: We used a quantitative methodology for the study. The data was collected using a survey questionnaire, which we offered to the respondents using the 1KA web application. The poll contained 15 questions. The study involved 110 nursing students, of whom 67 (61 %) were females and 43 (39 %) males. Results: The study found that nursing students have good skin cancer knowledge, but despite knowing how, when and why they need to be protected, these rules are not taken into account. As many as 43 % of all respondents had severe burns at least once in a lifetime. Discussion and conclusion: The use of protective agents against dangerous UV radiation contributes to a healthier skin and prevents the development of skin cancer. Nursing students continue to be overly exposed and not sufficiently protected against dangerous UV rays, despite being sufficiently educated about it. People should be educated on skin cancer as a consequence of sunbathing from an early age, so that as adolescents and later in adulthood, they have a very well-formed way of using adequate protection.
