Raziskovalna metodologija in metode: Za teoretična izhodišča, pregled in analizo literature smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela. Dobljene podatke smo statistično obdelali in analizirali s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Office Excel 2016 in IBM SPSS 25.0. Razprava in zaključek: Poškodbe sprednje križne vezi so zaradi izjemnih zahtev v športu vse pogostejše.

Title:Comparison of functional result after injury of anterior cruciate ligament
Abstract:Premises, purpose: The knee is one of the main joints that enables movement. Due to the persistent loads, it is exposed to various injuries. Injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament result in reduced function of the knee, limitations in daily activities and disability of sports activities and therefore require many times surgical treatment and/or long-term rehabilitation. The ultimate goal of treatment should be restoring the ability of patients to return to pre-injury activities with no limitations and pain. The purpose of the study was to obtain and present a subjective assessment of the knee function after treatment in patients who suffered anterior cruciate ligament injury. Research methodology and methods: A descriptive method of work was used for the theoretical premises, overview and analysis of the literature. The empirical part of the thesis comprises the study, based on a quantitative methodology. Data collection was carried out with the help of survey (IKDC and Lysholm) questionnaires. The study from September 2018 to December 2019 included 100 patients with an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament. The collected data were analysed using Microsoft Office Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS 25.0. Results: The results of the study showed more frequently injured men (70%), with 95% sportsly active patients. Sports activities were the main reason for the injury (73%). After treatment the percentage of active individuals decreased, however 78% of the patients remained sportsly active, but mostly reported problems in activities that pertain jumping, landing and changing direction of movement. Discussion and conclusion: The number of anterior cruciate ligament injuries are increasing, due to the high demands in sports. These injuries should be treated as soon as possible with individualized but multidisciplinary approach to enable patients safely returning to pre-injury daily activities and sports.
