Abstract:
Magistrsko delo obravnava oceno potresne odpornosti obstoječih zidanih stavb s prikazom uporabe različnih metod na obstoječi večstanovanjski zidani stavbi. V prvem delu je predstavljeno tipično obnašanje zidanih stavb med potresom in zahteve, ki jih predpisuje standard Evrokod 8-3, ki obravnava obstoječe stavbe. Predstavljene so nekatere metode, ki so bile razvite za oceno potresne odpornosti stavbi. V drugem delu naloge je podrobneje opisana obravnavana stavba in izračunana njena potresna odpornost. Potresna odpornost objekta je izračunana s programom SREMB, s poenostavljeno metodo z upoštevanjem kritičnega strižnega porušnega mehanizma, z metodama RAN-Z in PO-ZID ter upoštevajoč grobo oceno z uporabo spletne aplikacije POTROG. Preverjena je tudi možnost prevrnitve zatrepnega zidu, kot najverjetnejšega izvenravninskega mehanizma porušitve. V nadaljevanju so predvideni možni ukrepi za izboljšanje potresne odpornosti stavbe in primerjani rezultati dobljeni z različnimi metodami.

Title:
Methods for the Assessment of Seismic Resistance of Masonry Buildings
Abstract:
In the master thesis the assessment of seismic resistance of masonry buildings is discussed. The use of different methods of assessment is presented on an existing multiapartment masonry building. In the first part, typical behavior of masonry buildings during earthquake is presented and demands of Eurocode 8-3, regarding existing buildings, are given. Several methods developed for assessment of seismic resistance of masonry buildings are presented. In the second part the existing building is described and its seismic resistance assessed using different methods. Seismic resistance of the analysed building was calculated with the programme SREMB, with the simplified method taking into account critical shear failure, with methods RAN-Z and PO-ZID and by rough assessment using a web application POTROG. The possibility of overturning of the gable wall, as the most likely out-of-plane failure mechanism, was also considered. Possible measures for the improvement of seismic resistance of the building are given and results obtained using different methods are discussed.
