Abstract:V magistrski nalogi smo se ukvarjali z analizo vzorcev bombažne tkanine in mešanice bombaž/poliamid.

Title:Analysis of properties of functional materials
Abstract:The purpose of this master's thesis was to analyse the samples of cotton fabrics and cotton/polyamide blended fabrics with applications of USY and Silicalite zeolites, the cross-linking agent Knittex, which was used to fixate zeolites on the material, and luminescence along with ultraviolet dyes. We were interested in how zeolites affect the permeability of fabrics, yellowing index and whiteness. We observed colour differences of the samples when applying two different concentrations of dyes and the difference in colour before and after aging. For the analysis of the samples, we used infrared spectroscopy, UV/VIS spectroscopy and a confocal fluorescence microscope., We recorded the surface of zeolites with the linear electron microscopy. The results show that zeolites contribute to better UV protection of the materials, after aging the yellowing index of samples decreases and the whiteness increases. The colour differences on cotton fabrics after the application of zeolites are almost negligible, on the blended fabrics we got a slightly higher colour differences, but still small.
