Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti načrt in izvedbo gibalno/športne dejavnosti ter ugotoviti vpliv in stanje motoričnih sposobnosti otrok. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo uporabili kavzalno-neeksperimentalno metodo.

Title:The impact of planning physical/sport activity in kindergarten on children's motor abilities
Abstract:The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to develop an exercise programme and determine its effect as well as establish the status and the level of children’s motor skills. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the movement patterns of preschool age children, motor development, and the planning and execution of physical activities as well as their impact. In the last part of the bachelor’s work, various studies and findings are presented, which pertain to our research topic and work. In the empirical part of the thesis, we used a non-experimental causal study approach. The study sample included 42 children aged between 4 and 6 years, as well as preschool teachers from two preschool institutions, namely Vrtec Najdihojca Hajdina and Vrtec Otona Župančiča (Kebelj division) in Slovenska Bistrica. In order to process the data, we used a descriptive and bivariate analysis (variance analysis). The children were tested with the help of 17 motor ability tests. We noted that the duration of physical activities is of similar importance as the frequency. We also found that children, who follow a long-term organized exercise programme, have improved motor skills in comparison to their peers.
Keywords:motor skills, motor development, physical activities, preschool children, preschool.
