Title:Vpliv interaktivnih nalog na razumevanje vzorcev pri pouku matematike

Abstract:V magistrskem delu proučujemo, kako uporaba interaktivnih nalog vpliva na razumevanje vzorcev pri pouku matematike. Magistrsko delo je razdeljeno na dva dela, teoretičnega in empiričnega. V teoretičnem delu se najprej posvetimo predstavitvi vzorcev, in sicer opredelitvi vzorcev in pomenu vzorca za posameznika. Sledi podrobnejša obravnava delitve vzorcev po vrsti objekta in po načinu širjenja. Nato se osredotočimo še na povezavo vzorcev z matematiko ter uporabo vzorcev v slovenskih osnovnih šolah, kjer smo pregledali posodobljen učni načrt za matematiko ter analizirali vključenost vzorcev v nekaterih osnovnošolskih učbenikih. V nadaljevanju sledi predstavitev informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije v izobraževanju. Najprej opišemo področja uporabe računalnika v izobraževanju ter uporabo računalnika pri pouku. Sledi opredelitev pojmov, povezanih z IKT, ter obravnava uporabe IKT v šoli. Zadnji del teoretičnega dela namenimo predstavitvi apletov. V empiričnem delu naloge smo izvedli pedagoški eksperiment z dvema avtorskima interaktivnima apletoma na temo vzorcev. V eksperiment sta bili zajeti dve skupini, kontrolna in eksperimentalna. Podatke za kontrolno skupino smo našli na internetu, in sicer iz matematičnih raziskav Timms in Pisa, medtem ko je bila eksperimentalna skupina sestavljena iz dveh razredov osmošolcev dveh pomurskih šol. S pomočjo treh instrumentov: inicialnega, finalnega in retencijskega preizkusa znanja smo raziskali, ali uporaba IKT-ja vpliva na razumevanje vzorcev in trajnost znanja s področja vzorcev.

Title:The influence of interactive applets on the understanding of patterns in mathematics
Abstract:In the thesis, we are dealing with the question of how the use of interactive tasks influences the understanding of patterns in mathematics lessons. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we first focus on the presentation of patterns, namely the definition of patterns and the meaning of the pattern for an individual. Following is a more detailed dealing with the division of patterns by the type of object and the method of distribution. Further, we focus on the connection of patterns with mathematics and finally the usage of patterns in Slovenian primary schools, where we reviewed the updated mathematics curriculum and analyzed the inclusion of patterns in some elementary textbooks. Farther is the presentation of information and communication technology in education. Initially, we describe the areas of computer use in education and the use of computers in class. This is followed by the definition of ICT-related concepts and the use of ICT in schools. The ending of the theoretical part is devoted to the presentation of applets. In the empirical part of the thesis, we carried out a pedagogical experiment with two authorial interactive applets on the theme of the patterns. The experiment covered two groups – control and experimental group. Data for the control group were found on the internet, from the mathematical studies of Timms and Pisa, while the experimental group consisted of two classes of eight-year-olds from two different schools in Pomurje. With the help of three instruments: initial, final and retention test, we examined whether the use of ICT influences the understanding of patterns and the durability of knowledge in the field of patterns.
