Abstract:

Abstract:
Introduction: Multiple sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease that is more commonly experienced by women than men, in the age range between the ages of 20 and 40. At the time they just start to live, look for a life partner and plan a family. The disease itself is not directly affected by fertility, but has a disruption in sexuality. The purpose of the diploma work is to present multiple sclerosis, the most common sexual disorders that occur during a long-term illness, and the impact of illness in family planning. Research methods: In writing the diploma the descriptive method of work was used. In the empirical part, the quantitative methodology of research. A survey questionnaire with sixteen questions was used for the research tool. The study included 87 people with multiple sclerosis between the ages of 18 and 50 who had suffered multiple sclerosis. Results: The results of the study showed that as many as 47% of the polled have sex disorders. In men, 44% of respondents experienced problems with erectile dysfunction, and in women (56%), most often, there is a lack of desire for sexuality. Most people do not talk about sexual problems with anyone. When designing a family, 13% of respondents are most concerned about whether children will inherit multiple sclerosis. Discussion and conclusion: Because it is a disease of thousands of faces, it is important that patients with multiple sclerosis talk about their problems openly, which also means sexual intercourse and family planning. Each individual should be treated individually according to his needs, as health professionals will receive appropriate care and treatment, which will enable them to live a good life.
