Abstract:Razvijanje družinske pismenosti V objemu besed: priročnik za starše je nastal v okviru istoimenskega raziskovalno-razvojnega projekta, ki ga je financiralo Ministrstvo za kulturo RS (od oktobra 2016 do novembra 2017). Gre za projekt na področju spodbujanja družinskega branja oz. družinske pismenosti, ki je del bralne pismenosti (ta pa je nujni pogoj za delovanje človeka v družbi) in vključuje medgeneracijsko branje na vseh področjih dejavnosti v vrtcu (jezik, umetnost, družba, narava, matematika, gibanje) ter na vseh področjih otrokovega razvoja (kognitivnem, socialnem, čustvenem, estetskem, moralno-etičnem in motivacijskem). Najprej je bila izdana monografija V objemu besed, na podlagi katere smo pripravili strokovni priročnik za starše. V priročniku na poljuden način prispevamo k dvigu ozaveščenosti o pomenu branja kot vseživljenjskega procesa. Družinsko pismenost opredeljujemo kot skupek različnih dejavnosti znotraj družine, ki so povezane s pismenostjo v najširšem pomenu besede, ko hkrati sodelujejo različne generacije in se skupaj učijo. Ob dejavnikih spodbujanja bralne pismenosti (IFLA, 2006: obkroženost z bralnim gradivom, branje otroku in odrasli kot bralni zgled) so v priročniku predstavljene različne spodbude za pozitiven odnos do bralne kulture in navad, povezanih s pismenostjo.

Title:Developing family literacy Hugged by words : parent's guide
Abstract:Monograph Developing Family Literacy Hugged by Words: Manual for Parents is a result of the research project Hugged by Words, financed by the Ministry of Culture of RS (duration October 2016 till November 2017). Its area is encouragement of family reading or family literacy, a part of reading literacy (essential for successful inclusion of people in the society) and includes intergenerational reading in all areas of kindergarten work (language, art, society, nature, mathematics, movement) and in all areas of child's development (cognitive, social, emotional, aesthetical, moral-ethical and motivational). Primarily, monograph Hugged by Words was published, on the basis of which a professional manual for parents was prepared. In a simple but professional manner the manual for parents contributes to raising awareness of the importance of reading as a lifelong process. We define family literacy as various family activities, linked to literacy in the widest sense, when all family generations cooperate, the result being joint learning. With the factors encouraging reading literacy (IFLA, 2006: being surrounded with reading material, reading to the child, the adult as a reading model) various encouragements are presented for building a positive relationship towards reading culture and habits, linked to literacy.
