Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili problem migracij in način, kako jih mediji obravnavajo.

Title:The issue of migration in the media
Abstract:In this thesis, we present the problem of migration and the way the media handled it. The problem is lack of objectivity, unreality and unverified information, which effect the trust to media. On the basis of studied literature, we present international migration, the formation, the causes and types. We dealt media objectivity, the function and role of the media and the theory of preferential thematizing. In the empirical part we present the role of the media in dealing with migration issues in Syria. We analyzed the formation of migration, found that it is becoming inernational and extendeted. In this, we came to three main conclusions: first, the emergence of the civil war in Syria is influenced by several factors (the rule of Al-Assad, the operation of Islamic extremists and opponents of religious groups). Secondly, the media in Syria are controlled by the government. Third, for this purpose was introduced Internet censorship, which was abolished after the Civil War .
