Zato smo v nalogi obravnavali grafično risbo, katera zaradi specifike grafičnega medija risbi daje posebno izrazno noto.

Title:DRAWING: BETWEEN FIGURATIVE AND ABSTRACT
Abstract:The following master's thesis is based on exploring a drawing as a basis for every artistic creation. We considered its primal function which can lead to an independent work of art or it can serve only as a pre-preparation for futher work. We explained the notion of a sketch that can already show a tendency to an artistic articulation in another medium and can only serve us as a means of help or it can remain on the level of a sketch. Further on we study the line as the basic element of a drawing. We are mainly interested in a spontaneous and primal approach towards artistic creative work and the drawing enables us this. Therefore the thesis deals with the graphic drawing which through its specific of graphic medium gives the drawing a special expressive touch. The thesis treats the drawing as a figure and the figurality is related to the estetic notion of imitation. Because the figure gradually transists from objective to abstract, we discussed abstract art and some of its greatest authors such as Kandinski, Picasso, Malevič and Mondrian. Picasso's reductionism was used to present the descent from objective to nonobjective. We also discussed Malevič and Mondrian who were the pioneers of the so called geometric abstraction and who later on showed their interest in clear shapes and colours. Besides the consideration of gradual reductionism, this thesis also includes our own expression in which we emphasise the primal function of a drawing and its expressive power.
