Abstract:V sklopu magistrskega dela smo analizirali vsebnost skupnih fenolov pri več kot 40 rastlinah bezga, med njimi so bili nekateri karakteristični genotipi črnega bezga (Sambucus nigra L.), modri bezeg (S. nigra ssp. cerulea (Raf.) R. Bolli), habat (S. ebulus L.) in nekateri medvrstni križanci, ki so vključevali javanski (S. javanica Blume), črni, rdeči (S. racemosa L.) in modri bezeg. Izvedli smo ekstrakcije vzorcev in s Folin-Ciocalteu reagentom določili vsebnost fenolnih spojin. S pomočjo molekulske absorpcijske spektrometrije (MAS) smo izmerili koncentracije skupnih fenolov v ekstraktih mladih listov, socvetij in plodov (jagod). Povprečno vrednost vsebnosti skupnih fenolov v posameznih delih bezgovih rastlin smo podali v mg GAE (ekvivalent galne kisline)/100 g vzorca.

Title:Total phenolic content of some elderberry species and their interspecific hybrids
Abstract:The aim of the presented research was to analyze the content of total phenolics in more than 40 elderberry plants. The analysis involved several characteristic genotypes of black elder (Sambucus nigra L.), blue elder (S. nigra ssp. cerulea (Raf.) R. Bolli), European dwarf elder (S. ebulus L.), and some interspecific hybrids involving Chinese elder (S. javanica Blume), black elder, red elder (S. racemosa L.) and blue elder. After the extraction of samples we determined the content of phenolic compounds using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent. We measured the concentration of total phenolics in the extracts of young leaves, inflorescences and fruits (berries) using molecular absorption spectrometry (MAS). The results were expressed in mg of gallic acid equivalent (GAE) per 100 g of sample. The results showed that the total phenolic content in berries was on average 619 mg GAE/100 g (based on a fresh matter) or 3159 mg GAE/100 g (based on dry matter), in leaves 7074 mg GAE/100 g (based on dry matter) and in inflorescences 6631 mg GAE/100 g (based on dry matter). There were statistically significant differences among studied genotypes.
