Abstract:
V diplomskem delu smo predstavili kako pomembna je vloga medicinske sestre pri obravnavi bolnika z žolčnimi kamni, vzroke nastanka žolčnih kamnov, diagnostiko, zdravljenje in dieto. Posebno poglavje smo namenili zdravstveni negi bolnika po operaciji žolčnih kamnov ter dieti. Posebej pa smo se posvetili še vlogi medicinske sestre. V empiričnem delu smo predstavili rezultate raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika odprtega in zaprtega tipa v eni izmed slovenskih bolnišnic. Želeli smo ugotoviti kako pogosto medicinske sestre seznanjajo bolnike, kako pomembna je varovalna dieta pri žolčnih kamnih ter katerih metod oziroma tehnik komunikacije se medicinske sestre najpogosteje poslužujejo pri bolniku z žolčnimi kamni. Zanimalo nas je tudi ali so medicinske sestre skozi proces izobraževanja pridobile dovolj teoretičnega in praktičnega znanja za obravnavo bolnika z žolčnimi kamni.

Title:
THE ROLE OF THE NURSE IN TREATING PATIENTS WITH GALLSTONES
Abstract:
In this diploma paper we introduced the role of nurses in treating patients with gall bladder stones, the causes of gall bladder stones, diagnostics, treatment and complications. Particular attention was given to preparation of patients before the surgery, the surgery itself, nursing care of patients after gall bladder surgery and the diet. We wanted to find out how often the nurses acquaint the patients about the importance of permanent protective diet when it comes to gallstones and which are the most commonly used methods that the nurses use with patients suffering from gallstones. We were also interested whether the nurses had been provided with enough theoretical and practical knowledge during their education process to treat patients with gallstones.
