Title:ROMSKI POMOČNIK KOT VEZ MED DOMOM IN ŠOLO

Abstract:Danes so vsi otroci, tudi romski, enakovredno vključeni v vzgojno-izobraževalni sistem. Odvisno od geografskega okolja, iz katerega prihajajo, se romski otroci ob vstopu v šolo srečujejo predvsem z (ne)poznavanjem slovenskega jezika ter drugačnimi izkušnjami, ki zadevajo socialno in kul¬turno okolje. V zadnjih letih je v nekaterih slovenskih osnovnih šolah, ki vključujejo romske otroke, zaposlen romski pomočnik. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo osvetlili pomen temeljnega izobraževanja romskih otrok. Proučili smo zakonodajno ureditev romskega pomočnika kot poklica ter njegovo umeščenost v slovenski šolski sistem. Zanimala nas je vloga romskega pomočnika v osnovni šoli ter predvsem, kakšen vpliv ima romski pomočnik na romske starše z vidika šolanja njihovih otrok. V empiričnem delu smo analizirali mnenja ravnateljev osnovnih šol. Predstavili smo, kakšen vpliv ima romski pomočnik na izbranih področjih sodelovanja romskih staršev s šolo. Ugotavljali smo vpliv na naslednjih področjih: obiskovanje roditeljskih sestankov in govorilnih ur, obveščenost o učnem uspehu, opravljanje domačih nalog in obiskovanje pouka romskih otrok. Zanimala nas je tudi vloga romskega pomočnika v slovenski osnovni šoli. Analiza mnenj je pokazala, da romski pomočnik na izbranih področjih pomembno prispeva h kvaliteti sodelovanja romskih staršev s šolo. Pri opredelitvi vloge romskega pomočnika na šoli se je pokazalo, da romski pomočnik predstavlja vez med romskimi starši in šolo.

Title:ROMA ASSISTANT AS A LINK BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL
Abstract:Nowadays, all children, including the Romani ones, are equally included in the Slovenian educational system. Depending on the geographical region, from which the Romani children come from, they come across lack of knowledge of Slovenian language and other experience, which concern social and cultural environment,when entering the school system. In the last few years, there has been a Romani assistant employed at some Slovenian primary schools, which include the Romani children. In the theoretic part of the diploma paper, the importance of primary education of the Romani children was presented. A research was done on the legislation regulations for a Romani assistant as a profession and his position in the Slovenian educational system. We were interested in the role of a Romani assistant in a primary school and what influence a Romani assistant has on the Romani parents from the perspective of education of their children. In the empirical part of the paper, the analysis of primary school headmasters' opinions was done. We were interested in the influence of a Romani assistant in particular areas of cooperation between the Romani parents and the school; presence at meetings for parents and informative hours, how well they are informed about their children’s success, doing homework and presence of the Romani children in class. The research analysis has shown that a Romani assistant contributes greatly to the quality of cooperation between the Romani parents and the school. When defining the role of a Romani assistant at a school, we came to a conclusion that he/she represents a bond between Romani parents and the school.
