Abstract:Magistrsko delo je nastalo na podlagi opažanj in rezultatov projekta Virtualna učilnica in e-izobraževanje pod mentorstvom doc. dr.

Title:Students motivation for studying in e-learning environment
Abstract:The master thesis is based on observations and results of the project Virtual classroom under supervision of the assistant professor Nikolaja Golob. Students from the Faculty of education and Faculty of natural sciences and mathematics of University of Maribor participated in the project. The thesis consists of the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part considers different views regarding e-education and e-material, practical viewpoints ranging from material-ingredients, evaluation to their implementation in classroom. It reflects in the role teachers and pupils in working with e- material of different authors, combined with educational and motivation strategies for such classroom educational approach. It also includes theoretical basis of programs for e- material development with the description of the implemented program code Editor. In the empirical part we investigate motivation patterns of teachers and pupils, which appeared during the project. To overview the relevant research field we present in theoretical part also the-state-of-the-art in the field and motivation viewpoints in introducing e- material into classroom. In the empirical part we analyzed questionnaires by means of Mann-Whitney U test, which were distributed during material evaluation in chosen primary and secondary schools. We found out that both pupils and teachers are inclined towards such way of work. From the analysis of results it follows that teachers and pupils share opinion that using e-materials worsens communications. However, in many other points their views differ.
