Abstract:
V diplomskem delu smo opisali eno izmed največjih naravnih nesreč v Sloveniji in drugod – poplave. Na našem območju povzročajo predvsem materialno škodo in škodo na pridelkih. Smrtnih žrtev na srečo ni veliko, vendar jih pa vseeno ne smemo zanemariti. Ob vsaki najmanjši nepremišljenosti lahko pride tudi do le-teh. V diplomskem delu smo opisali vzroke za nastanek poplav in njihove posledice. Pomembno pa se je osredotočiti tudi na samo reševanje težav v primeru poplav. Vsak posameznik lahko že samo s pravilnim ukrepanjem reši svoje življenje, življenje bližnjih in materialne dobrine. V praktičnem delu smo opisali projekt suhega zadrževalnika Ljubečna na strugi potoka Vzhodna Ložnica ter njegove vplive na okolico. Zadrževalnik z zapornicami uravnava pretok vode Vzhodne Ložnice v primeru visokih voda. Za njim pa nastaja poplavno območje, ki je namenjeno zbranju vode. Zadrževalnik ima tako dobre kot slabe lastnosti. Dobre so zagotovo omejevanje in nadzorovanje poplav na celjskem območju. Negativne lastnosti pa so ogrožanje poplavnih kmetijskih zemljišč, ki bodo zaradi gradnje in njenih posledic izgubila svojo kvaliteto.

FLODS AND LOCAL FLOOD PREVENTION - DRY RESERVOIR LJUBEČNA
Abstract:
In this thesis we described one of the biggest natural disasters in Slovenia and elsewhere-floods. In our area they are mostly causing material damage and damage on crops. There are not many deaths fortunately, but we can still not ignore them. And there can be some at each smallest carelessness. We described the reasons for the creation of floods and their consequences. It is also important to focus on solutions for problems in case of floods, which we can be used to resolve them. Every individual can save his own life, lives of close relatives and material goods with right intervention. In the practical part we described the project of a dry reservoir in Ljubečna on the riverbed of Vzhodna Ložnica stream and its impacts on the environment. The reservoir regulates the current of Vzhodna Ložnica with its floodgates. After it there is a flood zone, which is intended to collect water. But the reservoir has good and bad features. Good are certainly limiting and controlling floods on Celje area. Negative features are threating flood farmlands which will due to the constructions and its consequences lost their quality of the land.
