Abstract:
V diplomskem delu se ukvarjamo z osmimi samostojnimi romani Zdenka Kodriča, izdanimi med letoma 1994 in 2014. Kodričev romaneskni opus je bil strokovno malo raziskan, dobil pa je sorazmerno veliko sočasnih kritiških odmevov. Romane smo literarnozgodovinsko umestil v slovensko literarno življenje na prelomu 20. v 21. stoletje, s posebnim ozirom na teorije in pojmovanja slovenskega romana in njegovih specifik. Ob tem smo posebej pregledali modernistične in postmodernistične pojme v okviru sodobne slovenske proze. Interpretativno smo analizirali vsak roman posebej in prikazali značilnosti Kodričeve poetike v njih, glede na literarno snov, teme in motive, ideje, notranjo zgradbo in pripovedne postopke. To diplomsko delo postavlja osnovo za nadaljnje raziskave njegovih romanov in s tem možnost za umeščanje opusa in/ali posameznih romanov v teorije, analogije, tipologije itd. Romaneskni opus Zdenka Kodriča je tematsko-motivno pester, avtor pa pri tem eksperimentira z literarno snovjo, slogom in pripovednimi strategijami. Njegov prvi roman Blaženi Franc Rihtarič je modernističen roman, drugi Potsdamska baterija pa postmodernističen. V njegovem kasnejšem romanesknem opusu prevladujejo v realistični maniri pisani romani, v njih pa opazno vlogo igrajo modernistične in postmodernistične prvine, predvsem medbesedilnost in metafikcija. Te romane lahko označimo z oznako modificiran tradicionalni roman, kot jo je podala Alojzija Zupan Sosič.

THE NOVELS OF ZDENKO KODRIČ
Abstract:
This thesis deals with eight individual novels by Zdenko Kodrič published between 1994 and 2014. Kodrič's novelistic oeuvre has been barely explored by the experts and yet has received a relatively wide simultaneous critical response. The novels have been classified according to literary history into Slovenian literary life at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, with special regard to the theories and understanding of Slovenian novels and their specifics. Given this, modernist and postmodernist concepts within contemporary Slovenian prose were taken under special consideration. Each novel has undergone an interpretative analysis that revealed characteristics of Kodrič's poetics in them, with respect to the literary subject, theme and motif, idea, inner structure, and narrative technique. The thesis forms a basis for further research of Kodrič's works and thus a possibility for placing his opus and/or his individual novels into theories, analogies, typologies etc. The novelistic oeuvre of Zdenko Kodrič varies in themes and motifs, in which the author experiments with the literary subject, style, and narrative technique. His first novel Blaženi Franc Rihtarič is a modernist one; his second Potsdamska baterija is postmodernist. Novels with realist traits and significant modernist and postmodernist elements and above all intertextuality and metafiction, prevail in his more recent body of works. These novels could be referred to as modified traditional novels, as set out by Alojzija Zupan Sosič.
