Abstract:
Teoretična izhodišča: Motorični razvoj otroka do 9. meseca starosti je najbolj izrazita oblika psihofizičnega razvoja otroka. Motorični razvoj predstavljajo dinamične in kontinuirane spremembe v motoričnem vedenju. Rezultate smo analizirali in jih grafično prikazali s pomočjo računalniškega programa Microsoft Word in Microsoft Excel. Rezultati: Starši otrok do 9. meseca starosti so dobro informirani o motoričnem razvoju otroka do 9. meseca starosti. Informacije s strani zdravstvenih delavcev so pogosto premalo cenjene.

Title:
PARENTS´ AWARENESS OF MOTORIC DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN UP TO 9TH MONTH
Abstract:
Theoretical references: Motor development of a child up to 9 months of age is the most prominent form of psychophysical development of a child. Motor development is represented by dynamic and continuous changes in motor behaviour. Transfer of the content of recommendations on the appropriate motor development of a child, and parent awareness on the contents of these, are main tasks of the community nurses and nurses in the clinic for children in the context of health-educational work. With this study we wanted to find out whether parents are aware of motor development of children up to 9 months of age and where they get the most information about motor development of a child. Research methodology: The diploma thesis was used a descriptive method. In the empirical part was used a quantitative method, using a questionnaire. The results were analysed and visualized with the help of computer programs Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Results: Parents of children up to 9 months of age are well informed about motor development of a child up to 9 months of age. Most of information on motor development of a child they receive from the mass media such as the Internet, television, magazines, etc. Health professionals such as mediators of health-educational recommendations are unfortunately not in the foreground. We found out that despite the fact that parents are well informed about motor development of children up to 9 months of age, in practice they often act differently. Information provided by health workers is often under-appreciated. Parents more frequently make use of information from the Internet, which is rarely professional and supported by examples. Conclusion: Despite the fact that parents are well informed about motor development of their children, it is important to continue with health-educational work. Lifelong learning is the foundation of health-educational work. With a variety of web applications, where all information is professional, accurate and verified, healthcare professionals could provide their knowledge to broader mass. Also various workshops on motor development of children in kindergartens, maternity schools, and schools would be very welcome.
