Abstract:
Diplomska naloga nudi pregled različnih postopkov ter orodij uporabe umetne inteligence v virtualnih okoljih. Najprej se bomo na kratko seznanili s pojmom virtualnega okolja ter spoznali različne vrste virtualnih okolij. Nato bomo definirali umetno inteligenco znotraj virtualnega okolja in predstavili njeno zgodovino. Podrobno bomo opisali postopke, s katerimi oponašamo inteligentno obnašanje v virtualnih okoljih in jih primerjali med seboj. V praktičnem delu naloge bomo v virtualnem okolju Second life definirali lik in mu dodelili nekaj inteligentnih lastnosti. V sklepnem delu bomo povzeli ugotovitve diplomske naloge in pregledali, kam stremi umetna inteligenca v prihodnosti.

Intelligence within virtual environments
Abstract:
The thesis gives an overview of various processes and tools that use artificial intelligence in virtual environments. First, we will briefly introduce the concept of a virtual environment and learn about the different types of it. This will be followed by the definition of artificial intelligence in virtual environments, as well as by the presentation of the beginnings of development throughout its history. We will present the procedures by which we imitate an intelligent behavior in virtual environments and how they compare to each other. Then we will define an object and we will assign some intelligent properties to it in the Second life virtual environment. Finally, we will summarize the conclusions of the thesis and review the use of artificial intelligence in the future.
