Abstract:
Diplomsko delo obsega podroben pregled koktajl oblek, njen nastanek in v kakšnih oblikah se je pojavljala čez desetletja prejšnjega stoletja. Podrobneje smo preučili linije koktajl oblek in se osredotočili na vrste primernih tekstilij za njihovo izdelavo, saj le tako lahko koktajl obleka deluje prefinjeno in elegantno. Na podlagi inspiracije, ki nam je bila arhitektura mesta Budimpešte, smo oblikovali manjšo kolekcijo koktajl ženskih oblek, ki je predstavljena z modnimi in konstrukcijskimi skicami. Za tri izbrane modele smo konstruirali temeljna kroja na podlagi telesnih mer testnih oseb in jih modelirali v kroje koktajl oblek. Rezultat dela so trije sešiti modeli koktajl oblek, ki so predstavljeni z vidika inspiracije za njihov nastanek, konstrukcije in modeliranja krojev ter uporabljenih materialov za koktajl obleke.

Pattern design of women's cocktail dresses collection
Abstract:
The diploma thesis comprises a detailed overview of cocktail dresses, the origins of the dress, and in what forms it has occurred over the decades of the 20th century. We studied the lines of cocktail dresses in more detail and focused on the types of material suitable for their creation, as only by using these materials can a cocktail dress appear refined and elegant. On the basis of the inspiration we got from the architecture of Budapest, we designed a small collection of women’s cocktail dresses, which is presented in the form of fashion and construction sketches. We chose three of the dresses for which we constructed the basic dress pattern design on the basis of measurements of tested persons, and then modelled them into dress pattern designs for cocktail dresses. The results are three sewn cocktail dress models that are presented in view of the inspiration behind their creation, construction and modelling of the dress pattern designs, as well as the materials used for this type of dresses.
