Abstract:V magistrskem delu je predstavljen vektorski analizator elektronskih vezij (ang. vector network analyzer oz. VNA). Opisane so vrste, lastnosti in zmogljivosti modernih analizatorjev elektronskih vezij.

Title:VECTOR ANALYZER OF ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS
Abstract:The following thesis presents the vector network analyzer or VNA. Explained are the types, properties and performance of modern network analyzers. The main aim of the thesis was to design a low-cost VNA which should be suitable for laboratory use and enable the measurement of the scattering parameters which are used to describe the properties of linear electronic circuits and components. Operational frequency range of the instrument spans from 100.0 MHz to 1.0 GHz. It was designed as a universal serial bus peripheral device, controlled by a corresponding graphical user interface on a personal computer. The printed circuit boards were designed using the software package Altium Designer 10. To simulate the analogue part of the circuit we used the simulation program Multisim 9 and for the high-frequency part of the circuit AWR Microwave Office 11. The graphical user interface was developed in the programming development environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and is written in the programming language Visual C #. The firmware for the microcontroller was designed in the development environment Atmel Studio 6.2; this time we used the programming language C.
