Abstract:
Polžasti transporterji predstavljajo pomemben del transportnih naprav. Uporabljajo se za transport sipkega materiala na krajših razdaljah. Z razvojem računalniških zmogljivosti se je razvila metoda diskretnih elementov, s katero si lahko pomagamo pri načrtovanju transportnih naprav. Diplomsko delo tako predstavlja pristop in izvedbo numerične simulacije transportiranja granuliranega zeolita s polžastim transporterjem v programskem paketu EDEM. Poudarek je na nastavitvah in primernih robnih pogojih, ki so potrebne za izvedbo numerične simulacije. Numerično simulacijo smo izvedli pri različnih vrtljajih in pri različnem naklonu. Dobljene rezultate numerične analize zmogljivosti polžastega transporterja smo na koncu primerjali z analitičnimi izračuni.

Title:
Numerical analysis of the capacity of the screw conveyor using the method of DEM
Abstract:
Screw conveyors are an important part of transport devices. They are used to transport fine materials over shorter distances. The development of computer capabilities helped develop the discrete element method, which can help us plan devices for transport. The thesis therefore presents an approach and the execution of a numerical simulation of the transport of granular zeolite with a screw conveyor in the EDEM software package. The focus is on the settings and the appropriate boundary conditions that are necessary for the execution of the numerical simulation. The numerical simulation was carried out at different speeds and in different inclinations. In the end, the results obtained by the numerical analysis of the capabilities of the screw conveyor were compared with analytical calculations.
