Abstract:
Diplomsko delo obravnava rodbino Attems, ki so kot pomembni meceni v času baroka vplivali na nastanek, razvoj in slogovno-adekvatno oblikovanje dvorcev na Štajerskem. V začetku diplomskega dela je predstavljena zgodovina Attemsov, njihov izvor in stik s slovensko Štajersko. Predstavljeni so gradovi, dvorci, ki so prišli v last rodbine. Podrobneje smo se posvetili analizi dvorcev Štatenberg, Dornava in Slovenska Bistrica. Njihova opredelitev temelji na analizi arhitekture, kiparstva in slikarstva v kontekstu celostne umetnine. Opisane so tudi historične, kulturnopolitične, umetnostnogeografske in morfološke specifike, ki so se aplicirale do njihovega nastanka. Spreminjali sta se podoba in funkcionalnost dvorcev, na kar je vplivala menjava lastnikov in njihova odvisnost od družbeno-ekonomskih sprememb. Diplomsko delo zajema zraven teoretičnega dela tudi reprodukcije umetniških del, ki so nastale po naročilih rodbine Attems in dodatno pojasnjujejo njihov vpliv na razvoj slovenske umetnosti. Stilnoanalitična obravnava umetniških del zajema le freske, ki krasijo notranje prostore dvorcev in se skozi ikonografijo dotikajo življenja tedanjih plemičev.

Title:
ATTEMS FAMILY MANSIONS IN STYRIA
Abstract:
The diploma thesis studies the family of Attems, whose members have, as important patrons of the Baroque period, influenced the emergence, development and stylistically adequate design of mansions in Styria. The introduction of the diploma thesis presents the history of the Attems family, their origin and connection with the Slovenian Styria. It also presents castles and mansions owned by the family. We, in detail, focused on the analysis of the mansions of Štatenberg, Dornava and Slovenska Bistrica. Their definition is based on the analysis of architecture, sculpture and painting, in the context of integral art. We also describe historical, cultural-political specifics, specific features in art and geography, and morphological specifics that have been applied up to their occurrence. The mansions’ appearance and functionality have changed due to altering owners and their dependence to social and socioeconomic changes. The diploma thesis also includes reproductions of works of art that were ordered by the Attems family. These additionally explain their influence on the development of Slovenian art. The stylistic analysis of the works of art only includes frescos that decorate the inner areas of the mansions and which, through iconography, are connected with the lives of the then aristocrats.
