Title:Stališča učiteljev drugega in tretjega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja do preventivne discipline

Abstract:Temeljni namen magistrske naloge je bil preučiti stališča učiteljev drugega in tretjega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja do preventivne discipline, pri čemer smo se osredotočili na tri področja preventivne discipline: razredno klimo, učiteljevo pripravo na pouk in izvajanje pouka ter na njegovo vodenje razreda kot skupine. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo najprej opredelili pojme disciplina, neprimerno vedenje, preventivna disciplina in predstavili poglede različnih avtorjev na disciplino, prav tako pa tudi vizijo šol in zakaj sploh obstaja potreba po disciplini. V nadaljevanju smo se podrobneje osredotočili na dejavnike preventivne discipline. Pri razredni klimi smo tako izhajali iz razredne skupnosti in različnih odnosov znotraj nje, pri učiteljevi pripravi na pouk in izvajanju pouka pa smo zajeli metode dela, motivacijo in potrebe učencev ter vzgojne dejavnosti. Pri zadnjem dejavniku, vodenju razreda kot skupine, smo podrobneje opredelili načrtovanje razrednih in šolskih pravil. Teoretični del naloge smo zaključili s poglavjem o fizičnih in psiholoških značilnostih učencev drugega in tretjega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja. V empiričnem delu naloge smo preverjali stališča učiteljev do posameznega dejavnika preventivne discipline, glede na vzgojno-izobraževalno obdobje in lokacijo poučevanja. Raziskava, izvedena v februarju 2014 na vzorcu 150 učiteljev, je pokazala na nekatere obstoječe razlike v stališčih učiteljev drugega in tretjega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja ter mestnih, primestnih in vaških šol do posameznih področij preventivne discipline.

Title:The views of teachers in the second and third educational periods towards preventive discipline
Abstract:The main purpose of the MA thesis was to study viewpoints of teachers from the first and third educational level on preventive discipline, wherein we focused on three elements of preventive discipline: class climate, teacher’s lesson preparation and execution of the lessons, and teachers’ management of the classroom as a group. In the theoretical part of the thesis we firstly defined the terms discipline, inappropriate behavior, preventive discipline, and presented various standpoints of different authors on discipline itself. We also highlighted the general vision of schools and explained the reasons behind the necessity of discipline in the first place. We then went on to focus on the elements of preventive discipline. With class climate we inferred from the classroom itself and the different relationships within it, whereas the second element, teacher’s lesson preparation and execution of the lessons, based mostly on methods of work, motivation, and the needs of pupils and the educational activity in general. For the last element, management of the classroom as a group, we closely examined the planning of classroom rules and rules of educational establishments. We concluded the theoretical part of the thesis with a chapter on physical and psychological characteristics of pupils from the first and the third educational level. In the empirical part of the MA thesis we studied viewpoints of teachers on the three particular elements of preventive discipline, based on their educational level and teaching location. The research, which was carried out in February of 2014 on a sample of 150 teachers, has shown difference of opinion amongst teachers operating on the second and third educational level, as well as urban, suburban, and rural schools to certain areas of preventive discipline.
