Abstract:
Diplomsko delo tako v teoretičnem kot empiričnem delu prinaša pogled na didaktično opredeljenost, vsebinsko zastopanost in izvedbo naravoslovnih dejavnosti v vrtcu. V teoretičnem delu se tako skozi različno strokovno literaturo naravoslovje opredeljuje kot skupek znanosti; predstavlja se vsebinska zastopanost posameznih ved pod skupnim področjem 'narava' v Kurikulumu za vrtce ter se vzporedno s tem opredeljuje kognitivni razvoj otroka v povezavi z naravoslovnimi dejavnostmi, razvoj spretnosti in sposobnosti ter vloga in naloge vzgojitelja. Empirični del predstavlja rezultate raziskave, ki je temeljila na anketiranju. Raziskavo smo izvedli v mesecu marcu in aprilu 2014. V njej so sodelovale tri skupine anketirancev: vzgojitelji, študentje tretjih letnikov predšolske vzgoje in starši otrok v vrtcih. Ugotavljali smo, ali je področje narave glede na izvedbeni vidik enako pomembno področje kurikula kot ostala področja. Pozorni smo bili tudi na odziv otrok na naravoslovne dejavnosti v vrtcu in kako se to odraža doma. Preverili smo, kakšno vlogo ima voden razgovor in s kakšnimi vprašanji anketiranci vodijo pogovor. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da je področje narave glede na ostala področja dejavnosti v vrtcu v večini enakovredno zastopano. Med posameznimi vedami pa je najpogosteje zastopana naravoslovna disciplina biologija. Vsem trem skupinam narava pomeni sprostitev, možnosti za raziskovanje in učenje, hkrati pa naravoslovnim dejavnostim pripisujejo enak pomen. Tako starši kot tudi vzgojitelji in študenti opažajo oz. so opazili napredek ne samo na kognitivnem področju, ampak na vseh področjih razvoja ter napredek v znanju in razvijanju spretnosti in sposobnosti. Vzgojitelji pa spodbujajo aktivnost otrok s postavljanjem odprtih vprašanj.

Title:
A NATURAL SCIENCE IN THE NURSERY
Abstract:
The nature is our first and main teacher. That is the reason to make a research and extend the knowledge of natural sphere. The essay represents the natural science and its activities in kindergarten. The theoretical part defines the natural science and analyses its involvement in curriculum through the professional literature. Moreover, there have been presented the development of skills and abilities, the task of the educator and the cognitive development according to activities of natural science. The empirical part shows all the results of research that has been made by the questionnaire that involved educators, students of the third grade of nursery school and parents of children in kindergarten. The research was made in March and April 2014. It has established the part that the natural science has got in curriculum. We observed the children´s reactions according to the activities and their effects being shown at home. We were also focused on the types of the questions involved in conversation. The results have shown that natural science in kindergarten is equally represented according to activities of other spheres. The dominant discipline is biology. It is important for children under school age to have the opportunity to relax, learn and research by themselves when being a part of activities. What is more, all these activities certainly help children to achieve the progress in cognitive development, skills and other abilities. The educators also encourage children to do the activities by asking them opened questions.
