Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi bom predstavil sistem za nadzor prometa IPTV v telekomunikacijskem omrežju s pomočjo IPTV sond, ki nadzorujejo promet IPTV od dobavitelja signala pa vse do končnega uporabnika. V prvem delu sta opis in struktura elementov za delovanje IPTV, namenjenega za prenos signala od izvora do uporabnika storitev. Predstavljeni so standardi in mehanizmi stiskanja podatkov, pregled protokolov za prenos podatkov po omrežju ter elementi in arhitektura IPTV. V osrednjem delu naloge se bomo omejili na meritve in nadzor IPTV prometa ter prikaz nadzornega sistema s pomočjo IPTV sond. Tukaj želimo doseči, da sistem deluje avtomatizirano in omogoča javljanje alarma ob povečani izgubi signala ali kvalitete slike. Preprečiti želimo izpade ter skrajšati čas intervencije. Namen je tudi zajemanje podatkov, njihova obdelava ter arhiviranje le-teh za nadaljnjo uporabo.

Title:
SYSTEM FOR CONTROL OF IPTV TRAFFIC
Abstract:
In my graduation thesis, I am going to introduce an IPTV traffic monitoring system in a telecommunication network by means of IPTV probes, which serve to monitor the IPTV traffic from the signal provider all the way to the end user. The first part provides a description and the structure of IPTV operation elements with the purpose of signal transfer from its source to the user of the services. There is also an introduction of data compression standards and mechanisms, as well as an overview of protocols for data transfer through the network, and the IPTV elements and architecture. The main part of the thesis focuses on the measurements and monitoring of IPTV traffic, as well as it provides a demonstration of the monitoring system executed by means of IPTV probes. We would like to achieve an automatic operation of the system, including the alarm function in case of increased signal or image quality losses. We want to prevent downtimes and shorten response times. The purpose is also data acquisition, its processing and archiving for further use.
