Abstract:
V magistrskem delu je predlagana metodologija za izračun napovedi prihodov avtobusov na postajališče v realnem času. Metodologija v osnovi sestoji iz treh delov, in sicer na oblikovanju oz. modifikaciji avtobusnega omrežja, algoritmu za napoved prihodov avtobusov na postajališča in izračunu potovalnih časov avtobusov po segmentih avtobusnega omrežja. Osnova za izračun časa, ki ga bo avtobus porabil do izbranega avtobusnega postajališča, je trenutna lokacija avtobusa in predvideni potovalni časi avtobusov po segmentih omrežja, ki temeljijo na podatkih iz preteklosti. Avtobusno omrežje sestoji iz postajališč in cestnih odsekov oz. segmentov, ki povezujejo postajališča med seboj. V predlagani metodologiji je avtobusno omrežje razdeljeno na cestne in postajne segmente oz. na segmente brez in s pripadajočimi avtobusnimi postajališči. Glede na sestavo avtobusnega omrežja se avtobusi lahko nahajajo na različnih lokacijah, in sicer na cestnem segmentu omrežja, na postajnem segmentu omrežja ali pa na začetnem avtobusnem postajališču. Za vsako izmed navedenih opcij je podan algoritem za izračun prihoda avtobusov na postajališče. Najzahtevnejši del pri izračunu prihoda avtobusov na postajališče je določitev potovalnih časov, ki jih avtobusi porabijo za prevoz po posameznem segmentu avtobusnega omrežja. V predlagani metodologiji so podane tri opcije izračuna potovalnih časov po segmentih avtobusnega omrežja: določitev potovalnih časov glede na časovno obdobje, v katero spada dotična napoved prihoda avtobusa na postajališče, glede na potovalne čase predhodnih avtobusov, ki so vozili po istem segmentu avtobusnega omrežja in kombinacija izračuna potovalnih časov posameznih segmentov omrežja glede na predhodne avtobuse in potovalne čase po časovnih obdobjih, določenih na podlagi podatkov iz preteklosti. Predlagana metodologija je preverjena na primeru mestnega avtobusnega prometa Maribor.

METHODOLOGY OF REAL TIME BUS ARRIVAL PREDICTION AT BUS STOPS
Abstract:
Work suggests new methodology of real time bus arrival prediction at bus stops. Methodology basically consist of three parts, bus network designing for the purpose of real time bus arrival prediction, algorithm for bus real time arrival prediction at bus stops and bus travel time calculation according to the individual segment of bus network. The basis for calculating bus travel time from current location to the bus stop, where bus arrival time is calculated for, is current position of a bus and bus travel time values for network segments calculated from the bus travel times from past. Bus network consists of bus stops and road segments that connect bus stops. In proposed methodology bus network is divided into road segments and bus stop segments, segments without and with referenced bus stops. According to the bus network elements buses are located on different locations, on the road segment, on the bus stop segment or at the starting bus stop. For each of these options algorithm is provided for bus arrival prediction at the bus stops. The most challenging task predicting bus arrival time at bus stops is to determine the travel time buses need for travelling from start node to end node for an individual bus network segment. In proposed methodology three options to calculate bus travel times are presented: determination of assumed bus travel times of each segment of bus network according to the time period; according to the travel time of preceding buses and combination of travel times according to the time period and preceding buses. Proposed methodology was validated on the city bus public transport system in Maribor.
