Abstract:
Namen diplomske naloge je predstavitev in analiza letalskega sektorja v Združenih državah Amerike, ki ga bomo prikazali iz vidika letalskih prevoznikov in industrije letal in letalske opreme. Prikazali bomo, da je celoten letalski sektor ZDA, kot eden najrazvitejših letalskih sektorjev na svetu, zelo pomemben element gospodarstva ZDA in celotnega svetovnega gospodarstva. Polega razvoja letalstva, letalskih prevoznikov in letalske industrije se bomo osredotočili na ekonomsko analizo celotnega letalskega sektorja, nekoliko podrobneje pa bomo obravnavali večje letalske prevoznike in večja podjetja letalske industrije. Ugotovitve bomo podkrepili s statističnimi podatki, ki jih bomo tudi grafično prikazali in razložili, na podlagi statističnih podatkov pa bomo tudi primerjali letalski sektor ZDA z ostalimi svetovnimi letalskimi sektorji, predvsem z Evropo. Prikazali bomo tudi, kakšen vpliv na sektor so imeli določeni dogodki v preteklosti in poskusili podati nekaj napovedi na prihodnost letalskega sektorja in našteti nekaj dejavnikov, ki bodo v prihodnosti imeli največji vpliv.

Title:
An economic analysis of the U. S. airline sector
Abstract:
The purpose of the undergraduate thesis is to present and analyze the airline sector of the USA, which will be done from the viewpoint of airlines and manufacturers of aircrafts and aircraft supplies. We will show that the US airline sector is one of the most developed airline sectors in the world, and that it is an important element of the US as well as world economy. We will also focus on the economic analysis of the airline sector and go into detailed analysis of some of the major airlines and bigger names in the airline industry. The findings will be proved by statistics, and further interpreted and explained in graphs. We will compare the US and European airline sector. On the basis of our examination and analysis we will discuss the factors that have influenced the airline sector in the past, and will try to predict which factors will play a significant role in the development of the airline sector in the future.
