Abstract:	Povzetek Diplomska naloga z multimodalno analizo raziskuje sredstva prepričevanja dveh predsednikov vlad, Janeza Janše in Boruta Pahorja, v izbranih primerljivih govorih. Namen diplomskega dela je bila primerjava izbranih elementov komunikacije obeh govorcev. S pomočjo frekvenčnih list smo analizirali jezikovno izražanje, pregled video posnetkov pa nam je omogočil analizo govorice rok in obraza. Iz analize je razvidno, da je Borut Pahor v svojih govorih več uporabljal pathos (čustva) kot Janez Janša. To je še bolj razvidno iz analize neverbalne komunikacije, kjer se razlika med nastopi Janeza Janše in nastopi Boruta Pahorja lahko opazi še hitreje.

Title:	MULTIMODAL ANALYSIS AND MEANS OF PERSUASION OF TWO GOVERNMENT PREDSIDENTS: JANEZ JANŠA AND BORUT PAHOR
Abstract:	Abstract This diploma explores the means of persuasion of two prime ministers, Janez Janša and Borut Pahor in selected comparable speeches, using the multimodal analysis. The aim of this diploma was to compare the selected elements of comunication of both speakers. With the help of frequency lists we analysed the linguistic expression and an overview of videos made it possible for us to analyse hand and facial gestures. The analysis shows that Borut Pahor used more pathos (emotions) in his speeches than Janez Janša. This is even more evident from the analysis of non-verbal communication, where the difference between the performances of Janez Janša and the performances of Borut Pahor can be noticed even faster.
