Abstract:
Distribucija tvori s transportom najbolj zastopan zaposlitveni sektor v Evropi, pri čemer so razdalje in obseg pošiljk v transportnih tokovih vse bolj fragmentirani in pomen vzdrževanja kakovostnega stika z odjemalci preko končnih dostav blaga narašča. Nasprotno temu je spremljanje in vrednotenje dela voznikov eno najmanj obravnavanih področij v logistiki, zaradi česar predlagamo nov dopolnilni model vrednotenja prodajnih poti.

Title:
SUPPLEMENTAL SALES ROUTE EVALUATION USING DISTRIBUTION LOGISTICS METRICS
Abstract:
Distribution is alongside tranportation the most heavily represented employment sector in Europe, faced with fragmentation of distances over which increasingly smaller shipments are delivered and a growing need for maintaining quality last mile delivery services. By contrast, driver's work monitoring and evaluation remains one of least addressed topics in logistics, prompting the development of a new supplemental sales route evaluation model. It is based on analytic hierarchy process, which originates from 3 aspects of delivery treatment: initial conditions or route characteristics, work performed and delivery results or effectiveness. We evaluate a sample of 50 routes within a given delivery zone under 19 criteria that relate to performing deliveries according to milk run distribution principles. Evaluated sales routes personify driver's work performance during a completed milk run delivery period. The results of this initial evaluation phase are used as inputs within a wider payment allocation framework that comprises 6 distinctive approaches that try to reflect basic equity principles. Comparative analysis of approaches and in relation to projected conventional evaluation of the same routes – acting as a benchmark – shows that payment values allotted under the suggested rules vary according to approach-specific variants, however, they preserve strong correlation with the original analytic hierarchic process evaluation results and exhibit potential applicability in real-life cases.
