Title:PRIMERJAVA TEHNOLOGIJ GALVANIZIRANJA S ŠESTVALENTNIM IN TRIVALENTNIM KROMOM

Abstract:Pri galvaniziranju je krom ena izmed pomembnejših komponent, ki so prisotne v kromovih elektrolitih. Velik del teh elektrolitov vsebuje šestvalentni krom, ki je zelo toksičen za človeka in škodljiv za okolje. Različne direktive uporabo šestvalentnega kroma vedno bolj omejujejo, nekatere tudi prepovedujejo, zato proizvajalci aktivno raziskujejo primerno zamenjavo zanj. Med glavne raziskave se uvršča tehnologija s trivalentnim kromom. Cilj te naloge je bila primerjava prevlek iz šestvalentnega in trivalentnega kroma na vzorcih ročnega orodja in ročici družbe Unior d.d. Obdelavo vzorcev prevlek s šestvalentnim kromom smo izvedli na dejanski galvanski liniji družbe Unior d.d., v podjetju Kiesow Nemčija pa so prevlekli vzorce s trivalentnim kromom. Laboratorijsko delo je obsegalo testiranje v slani komori in merjenje debelin nanosov prevlek z aparaturo Kuloskop CMS ter se je izvajalo v laboratoriju družbe. Le za meritev debeline nanosa prevlek na ročici smo ponovno prosili za sodelovanje podjetje Kiesow, kjer so nam jo izmerili z XRF analizatorjem. Ugotovili smo, da je glede na zahteve kakovosti vzorcev podjetja Unior d.d. in ISO standardov kvalitetnejša in obstojnejša prevleka iz šestvalentnega kroma, saj tudi po izpostavljenosti slanici omogoča popolno zaščito in je manj občutljiva na udarce. Prevleka iz trivalentnega kromaje pričela korodirati po osmih urah izpostavljenosti slanici.

Title:COMPARISON OF PLATING TECHNOLOGIES WITH HEXAVALENT AND TRIVALENT CHROMIUM
Abstract:The chromium is one of the most important components when plating, where it is present in chromium electrolytes. Most of the latter contain hexavalent chromium, which is toxic to the humans and harmful to the environment. Therefore, different directives mostly limited or even prohibited the usage of hexavalent chromiumand industries intensively search for the appropriate substitution for it. The aim of this study was the comparison of Cr6+ and Cr3+ coatings on the hand tools samples of the company Unior d.d. The plating by Cr6+ was done in the named company, but for the Cr3+ plating the German company Kiesow was invited for cooperation. Laboratory work consisted of salt spray tests and measuring the coating thickness by the Couloscope CMS in the company Unior d.d. For the sample with the curved form the coating thickness was measured by the XRF analyser in the laboratory of Kiesow company. It was confirmed that considering our quality standards and ISO standard's requirements the Cr6+ Coating was more suitable and effective, which gives complete protection even after salt spray test and it also less sensitive to the impact, whilest on the Cr3+ coating the corrosion effect was noticable already after the eight hours salt spray test.
