Abstract:
V pričujočem diplomskem delu postavljamo v ospredje stanje mladinskega filma v slovenski kinematografiji. Male države z manjšinsko kinematografijo, kakršna je tudi Slovenija se čedalje bolj zavedajo pomena produkcije filmov v lastnem – materinem jeziku. S pomočjo materinega jezika se prenaša kulturna dediščina, poudarja se identiteta posameznega naroda in prav tako se s pomočjo jezika krepi tudi pripadnost posameznika nekemu narodu. Vsaka manjšinska kinematografija ima svojo posebnost filma. Na Danskem se ta posebnost imenuje otroški film, v Sloveniji je to mesto zavzel mladinski film. Mladinski film je pomemben, a zapostavljen žanr. Kljub vsemu pa nosi velik pomen za državo, kakršna je tudi Slovenija in tudi za mladino, ki neutrudno išče svoje mesto v družbi.

SLOVENE TEENAGE FILM
Abstract:
In the thesis I explore the state of Slovenian Youth Film production. Small countries with a minor cinema, such as Slovenia are increasingly aware of the importance of films in their own productions – in their native language. Cultural heritage is transmitted with the native language, identity of each nation is emphasised and also, with the help of native language, the individual's belonging affiliation to a particular nation is reinforced. Each minor cinematography has its own special film genre. In Denmark, this specificity is children's film, in Slovenia, it's the youth film. Youth film is an important but neglected genre. Nevertheless, it has great importance for a country such as Slovenia and also for young people who tirelessly seek their place in society.
