Abstract:
Phrasal verbs are one of the parts of English language that are not researched in details yet like basic parts of grammar. Tenses, aspect, modal verbs etc. are parts of English language that are researched in details and mostly deal with one-word verbs. In this diploma work we deal with the multi-word verbs, which are formed with verb and particle, called Phrasal verbs. Present diploma work deals with frequency of phrasal verbs in different genres and focuses on their characteristics and formation. Identifying and classifying the phrasal verbs in a literature work or newspaper article can be a very long and complicated procedure because one phrasal verb can have two or more meanings. We also looked for Slovene translations of phrasal verbs and analyzed their structure. The Slovene system of phrasal verbs differs from English system and most of the phrasal verb translations are not phrasal verbs in Slovene. Then our aim will be to determine stative and dynamic features of the phrasal verbs.

Dinamičnost in statičnost angleških fraznih glagolov v različnih žanrih
Abstract:
Frazni glagoli so področje angleškega jezika, ki še ni natančno raziskano, tako kot so to na primer osnovne slovnične kategorije. Glagolski časi, vid, modalni glagoli itd. so področja angleškega jezika, ki so raziskana do potankosti in zadevajo predvsem enobesedne glagole. Pričujoče diplomsko delo se ukvarja s pojavnostjo fraznih glagolov v različnih žanrih, hkrati pa se osredotoča na njihove lastnosti in tvorbo. Identificiranje in klasificiranje fraznih glagolov na področju leposlovja in na področju poljudnoznanstvenih besedil je zelo dolgotrajen proces, saj lahko isti glagol najdemo v dveh ali več funkcijah. Prav tako smo poiskali slovenske prevode analiziranih angleških besedil in klasificirali strukture. Slovenski sistem fraznih glagolov se namreč razlikuje od angleškega in večina prevodnih ustreznic v slovenščini niso frazni glagoli. Poleg tega je bil naš cilj določanje statičnosti in dinamičnosti fraznih glagolov.
