Abstract:Sistemi oskrbe s pitno vodo in sistemi daljinske energetike so javni kritični sistemi, ki do končnih odjemalcev dostavljajo pitno vodo in toploto (pozimi) ali hlad (poleti).

Title:DEVELOPMENT OF A PROTOTYPE FOR ENERGY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
Abstract:Water distribution systems and district energy systems are public critical systems supplying drinking water and heating (in the winter) or cooling (in the summer) to end-users. Drinking water supply is implemented in virtually every urban area, and the system's purpose is to supply end-users with drinking water which is pumped from one or more water sources. District energy systems include district heating and district cooling systems. It is a method of heating and cooling buildings where heat or cool is transferred to consumers from a larger heat or cool source through a pipe distribution network. In this paper we researched the technology, challenges, examples and effects which can be achieved by using modern information technologies in drinking water supply systems and district energy systems, and we developed and implemented a prototype solution for management support of these systems. With the aid of the prototype solution, data on the operation of the systems, the consumption of energy products and the consumption of drinking water are collected in the energy management centre. The prototype solution allows the implementation of key process indicators and analyses on the operation of these systems, which enable a comprehensive and economic management and also the implementation of analyses of measures already taken, thus giving us feedback for constant quality improvement.
