Abstract:
Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na ločne mostove. V uvodu je podan kratek zgodovinski pregled skozi obdobja, od naravnega pojava ločnih konstrukcij do najmodernejših ločnih mostov. Sledi splošno poglavje o ločnih mostovih in njihovih značilnosti, ki nas seznanja s težavami konstruiranja in gradenj ločnih mostov. Kot glavna tema diplomske naloge pa je predstavljena tehnologija prosto konzolne gradnje ločnih mostov, ki je na kratko opisana na primeru Šibeniškega mostu in nato še podrobneje na primeru mostu čez dolino Mangartskega potoka.

ARCH BRIDGES
Abstract:
The main topic through all chapters in this entire thesis are arch bridges in general. In the first chapter we are presenting short historical chronology through all main historical periods from the time of first occurrence of natural arch construction to the time of the most modern arch design structures. The general issue about arch bridges and their characteristics in order to learn about the problems of design and construction of arch bridges follows. As a main thesis is free cantilever construction of arch bridges presented, which is described in detail in the case study of Šibenik Bridge, and later in the case study of arch bridge across the stream valley river of Mangart.
