Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi Strokovno izobraževanje in izpopolnjevanje učiteljev nas je zanimalo predvsem nadaljnje izobraževanje učiteljev. Zanimalo nas je ali se učitelji po opravljeni diplomi udeležijo katere oblike dodatnega izobraževanja in izpopolnjevanja. Tako je bil naš prvi cilj, da se seznanimo s strokovnimi izrazi oziroma pojmi kot so strokovno izobraževanje, spopolnjevanje, izobraževanje odraslih, vseživljenjsko učenje idr. Nadalje smo se želeli seznaniti s ponudbo programov nadaljnjega izobraževanja, ki so na voljo učiteljem v Sloveniji ter kdo so njeni izvajalci. Ne nazadnje smo preučili tudi vire financiranja programov nadaljnjega izobraževanja ter primerjali strokovno izobraževanje in izpopolnjevanje učiteljev na Švedskem, Norveškem in Danskem. Namen in cilj diplomske naloge je bil ugotoviti ali se učitelji v Sloveniji udeležujejo nadaljnjega strokovnega izobraževanja in izpopolnjevanja. Zato smo izvedli anketno raziskavo pri učiteljih osnovnih ter srednjih šol po Sloveniji. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da se učitelji udeležujejo nadaljnjega strokovnega izobraževanja in izpopolnjevanja ter razkrila njihove razloge za udeležbo. Večina učiteljev je zadovoljna s ponudbo izobraževalnih programov, ki jim jih ponujajo izvajalci v Sloveniji, a vendar smo odkrili tudi njihove pomanjkljivosti ter razkrili katerih izobraževalnih programov si učitelji še želijo.

Title:
Professional education and improvement of teachers
Abstract:
The main aim of the thesis was to research continuing education of teachers. We wanted to know if teachers undertake any additional education or training after obtaining their diploma. Our first aim therefore was to get acquainted with terminology like in-service education, upgrading skills and knowledge, adult education, lifelong learning, etc. Next, we wanted to get acquainted with the programmes of continuing education offered in Slovenia and who the providers are. Last but not the least; we analysed sources of financing programmes of continuing education and compared in-service education and training of teachers to Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Aim of the thesis was to establish if teachers in Slovenia undertake any additional education and training. Therefore we distributed a questionnaire among teachers of primary and upper secondary schools in Slovenia. Analysis of the results shows that teachers do undertake continuing education and training. It also brought forward reasons for their doing so. Most teachers are satisfied with the offer of educational programmes available in Slovenia, but we also discovered their shortcomings and as well as what other educational programmes teachers would like to participate in.
