Title:NEGOVALNI TIM V ODNOSU S STAROSTNIKOM V DOMSKEM VARSTVU

Abstract:Starostniki se za domsko varstvo pogosto odločajo zaradi poslabšanja zdravstvenega stanja, postopne odvisnosti pri posameznih življenjskih aktivnostih in kadar svojci v domačem okolju ne morejo nuditi ustrezne pomoči. S strani članov negovalnega tima pričakujejo prijaznost, spoštovanje, razumevanje, pomoč, zaupnost in sposobnost poslušanja. Zdravstvena nega starostnikov je zahtevna, izjemno pomembna in vse bolj aktualna. Namen raziskave je ugotoviti, kakšen je odnos medicinske sestre do starostnikov v domskem varstvu. Cilj je bil predstaviti staranje, spremembe v starosti, značilnosti komunikacije s starostniki v domskem varstvu ter vlogo medicinske sestre v medosebnem odnosu s starostnikom. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativni metodologiji. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 30 starostnikov v domskem varstvu, podatke pa smo zbrali s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Na osnovi dobljenih rezultatov anketnih odgovorov smo ugotovili, da odnos članov negovalnega tima bistveno vpliva na vživljanje in dobro počutje starostnikov v domskem varstvu. Ugotovitve kažejo, da ima večina članov negovalnega tima do starostnikov delno spoštljiv odnos in da si starostniki želijo prijaznosti, ter spoštovanje dostojanstva. Iz raziskave je tudi razvidno, da starostniki ob nespoštovanju njihovega dostojanstva občutijo užaljenost in jezo. Bistvena vodilo članov negovalnega tima pri delu z starejšimi je pozitiven odnos, usmerjen k ustvarjalnemu reševanju problemov in težav. S pozitivno naravnanostjo članov negovalnega tima do starostnikov se že v začetnem odnosu s starostniki vzpostavijo dobre medsebojne vezi, ki so temelj dobre kakovosti življenja in zadovoljstva starostnikov in članov negovalnega tima.

Title:NURSING TEAM IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ELDERLY IN THE INSTITUTIONAL CARE
Abstract:The elderly often decide for elderly institutional care because of weaker health condition, gradual dependency at certain everyday activities, or when relatives cannot provide suitable help in their domestic environment. People in the nursing team are expected to be kind, respectful, understanding, helpful, confidential and having a listening ability. Health care of the elderly is demanding, highly important and increasingly relevant. The purpose of the research was to establish the relationship between nurses and the elderly in a retirement home. The aim was to present ageing, changes in oldness, characteristics of communication with the elderly in an institutional care, as well as the role of a nurse in interpersonal relations with the elderly. The research was based on quantitative methodology and included 30 elderly. The research data was collected with the help of a survey questionnaire. The obtained results showed that the nursing team relation with elderly affects elderly well-being and their adjustment to the life in the elderly institutional care. Findings showed that most of nursing team members has respectful relationship and that elderly seek for kindness and respect for their dignity therefore the lack of respect usually leads to resentment. Main role of nursing team members is to have a positive relationship with elderly, which has to be directed to creative problem solving. Good interpersonal relations, which are the basis of elderly and nursing team quality of life and personal contentment, can be established in the beginning itself with nursing team positive attitude to the elderly.
