Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava čiščenje komunalne odpadne vode z vzorčnim primerom komunalne čistilne naprave Slovenska Bistrica.

Title:ANALYSIS POSSIBILITY OF UTILIZATION AND PROCESSING WASTE OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
Abstract:Diploma thesis represents a wastewater treatment on the example of municipal wastewater treatment operator in Slovenska Bistrica. The treatment of waste water is based on Slovene law regulations as a key tool in achieving the relevant effects on environmental pollution. Several types of treatment plants could be sorted by size and type of waste water. The municipal wastewater is treated in cleaning process in primary, secondary and tertiary stage. By-product in these processes is sewage sludge. Treatment of sludge is an important part of operating costs. For optimum results of treatment is very important how the management decides and chooses basic concept and system for cleaning and finding out the right method for disposal of sludge. There were 226 wastewater treatment plants in Slovenia in 2008 that have had at least 50 PE. The main problem is sewage sludge – it is forbidden to dispose sludge on agricultural land and there is no plant for incineration of sludge in Slovenia. Municipal wastewater treatment plant in Slovenska Bistrica implements primary, secondary and tertiary stage of treatment in four sequential pools. Sludge with 33% dry matter is disposed in a landfill Pragersko but this is only a temporary solution. The sewage sludge should be used as fuel for co-firing or as a fertilizer in the process of decomposition in long term.
