Abstract:Osnovni namen diplomske naloge je definirati temeljne nabavne koncepte s pomočjo domače in tuje strokovne literature in na konkretnem primeru prikazati možnost uporabe različnih statističnih metod razvrščanja v skupine, ki so uporabne pri segmentaciji, ter predstaviti koristi, ki jih prinese njihova uporaba. V praktičnem delu sem predstavila podjetje Minerva d. d. in pomen nabavne funkcije za izbrano podjetje. Temeljna naloga nabavne funkcije je preskrba surovin in materiala v pravi količini, ustrezni kakovosti, primerni ceni in ob pravem času. Nabava mora prevzeti odgovornost pri izbiri dobavitelja ter njegovo poznejše spremljanje. Pravilna izbira dobavitelja lahko pripomore k zniževanju stroškov nabave, boljšemu poslovanju in večji uspešnosti podjetja. Za uspešno vodenje nabave je potrebno, da le-ta sodeluje tudi z drugimi funkcijami v podjetju.

Title:Supplier segmentation – creation of purchasing strategies and the portfolio
Abstract:The primary purpose of this diploma is to define the basic purchasing concepts with the help of domestic and foreign technical literature. The example will show the possibility of using different statistical methods when sorting into group which are used at segmentation and to present the benefits of their usage. In the practical part I will present the company Minerva d. d. and the purpose of the purchasing function for this company. The primary function of purchasing department is to supply goods and materials of the right quantity, quality, price and at the right time. The purchasing department has the responsibility to choose the suppliers and to check them. The right choice of the supplier can aid in lowering the costs of purchasing, better management and greater success of the company. To ensure a successful management of the purchasing department it is necessary to cooperate with other departments in the company.
