Abstract:
Diplomsko delo obravnava izobraževanje za vseživljenjsko izobraževanje v osnovni in srednji šoli. V teoretičnem delu sta natančneje opredeljena pojma vseživljenjsko izobraževanje in vseživljenjsko učenje.

Title:
EDUCATING FOR LIFELONG EDUCATION IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL
Abstract:
The thesis deals with education for lifelong education in primary and secondary schools. The main purpose of the thesis is to study the education for lifelong education of pupils in primary schools as well as students in secondary schools. This is why the thesis explores the development of this kind of education and its implementation in primary and secondary schools. The concepts of lifelong education and lifelong learning are precisely defined in the theoretical part. Furthermore, the Strategy of lifelong learning in Slovenia and its aims, which were published in 2007 by a special committee, are discussed. Moreover, learning objectives in primary and secondary schools, where lifelong education phrase does not exist at all, are analyzed. The thesis also deals with key competences that are necessary for lifelong education, it defines them, presents their characteristics and various fields of use. What is more, key competences are presented and the explanation of how a competence is developed is provided. Additionally, new teacher competences, roles and teaching methods needed for education of pupils for lifelong education are shown. Another interesting point of research was whether education for lifelong education is a continuous care in primary and secondary schools and if there are any differences between primary and secondary schools regarding education for lifelong education.
