Posamična grafična dela sem na koncu združila v skupno celoto s pravim zaporedjem grafičnih del in s klasično obliko animacije poskušala ustvariti iluzijo gibanja.

Title:CAPTURED MOMENTS OF MOTION AND PRINTMAKING
Abstract:The diploma work consists of a theoretical and a practical part, whereby the contents of the practical part are closely bound to the theoretical part. In the theoretical part we first defined the notion of movement, presented the history of movement study and explained the concept of movement, figure and silhouette. Furthermore, we defined the concept of photography, where we explained the consecutive picture and movement, and presented the role and influence of photography on an artist. In connection with the practical part, we presented the illusion of movement with the emphasis on animation and animation techniques. Moreover, we presented the British artist Julian Opie, who uses animation techniques to show the illusion of movement in his diverse artistic works. We discussed the concept and meaning of printmaking and presented two artists, Alena Kučerova and Lino Mannocci who create interesting printmaking works. The practical and the most important part of the diploma work is called Captured Moments of Motion and Printmaking. In this chapter captured moments of figure movement are shown through prints in the technique of dry point of black and white printing which has an extra expressional power. As an outline for making prints I used photos and transferred a captured figure into a movement, i.e. its silhouette, from the photo onto a matrix. The position, direction and size of the silhouette figure and the size of the print were chosen carefully. Single print work on which I tried to capture the expressive power of the given moment, was presented through the silhouette accession to the form. FiInally, I united all the prints into a common whole with the right sequence of print and tried to create an illusion of movement with classic form of animation.
