Title:VLOGA IN POMEN ŠOLSKE SVETOVALNE SLUŽBE PRI OBRAVNAVI MEDVRSTNIŠKEGA NASILJA V OSNOVNI IN SREDNJI ŠOLI

Abstract:Vrstniško nasilje ni nov pojav, obstaja že precej časa, le da se o njem dolgo ni govorilo. Ker postaja vse bolj resen problem, ga šole poskušajo zmanjšati. Pri tem imajo zelo pomembno vlogo šolski svetovalni delavci, saj so pogosto prvi, kamor se žrtve vrstniškega nasilja zatečejo po pomoč. Tako smo se lotili proučevanja vloge in pomena šolske svetovalne službe pri obravnavi medvrstniškega nasilja v osnovni in srednji šoli. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili medvrstniško nasilje, njegove oblike in značilnosti vpletenih, šolsko svetovalno službo, vlogo šolske svetovalne službe pri obravnavi medvrstniškega nasilja ter ukrepe preprečevanja nasilja med vrstniki tako doma kot v tujini. V empiričnem delu diplomske naloge smo raziskali, ali se svetovalni delavci pogovarjajo z učenci o medvrstniškem nasilju, ali poskušajo preprečiti nasilje na šoli, ali pripravljajo delavnice, seminarje, predavanja na temo vrstniškega nasilja, ali osveščajo udeležence vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa o vrstniškem nasilju. Šolski svetovalni delavci morajo delovati tako preventivno kot tudi kurativno. Imeti morajo nizko toleranco za vrstniško nasilje in biti nanj visoko občutljivi. Da v primeru vrstniškega nasilja pravilno reagirajo, se morajo nenehno izobraževati in izpopolnjevati svoje znanje. Ostale udeležence vzgojno-izobraževalnega procesa morajo osveščati o vrstniškem nasilju, njegovi resnosti in posledicah tako za žrtve kot tudi nasilneže. Pomembno je, da učencem pokažejo, da nasilja ne podpirajo, in da so na voljo, ko jih bodo potrebovali. Prizadevati si morajo za dobre odnose z učenci in ohranjati njihovo zaupanje.

Title:THE ROLE AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SCHOOL COUNSELLING IN THE TREATMENT OF BULLYING IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Abstract:Peer violence is not a new phenomenon. It has existed for some time, yet it has not been openly discussed. Since becoming an increasingly serious problem, schools try to decrease it. In this matter, school counsellors play a very important role, since they are often the first who the victims of bullying fall back on. We have started studying the role and importance of school counsellor services, which deal with violence among children in elementary and secondary school. The theoretical part presents peer violence, its forms and characteristics of those involved, the school counsellor service, its role in dealing with peer violence, and measures to prevent violence among children both at home and abroad. In the empirical part of the diploma paper, we researched whether the counsellors talk to students about peer violence, or attempt to prevent violence at school, whether they prepare workshops, seminars, lectures on the topic of bullying or inform the participants of the educational process of bullying. School counsellors must work both preventively and curatively. They must have zero tolerance for bullying and be highly sensitive to it. In order to react properly in case of bullying, they must continually educate themselves and improve their skills. The school counsellors must make other participants of the educational process aware of peer violence, its severity and consequences for both victims and bullies. It is important to show students that they do not support violence, and that they are available when needed. Counsellors have to aim for good relations with students and try to sustain a trusting relationship.
