Abstract:
V diplomskem delu je predstavljen sodoben pristop k poučevanju tujega jezika CLIL. Navedla sem pomembne prelomnice v razvoju CLIL-a skozi čas. Prikazala sem modele poučevanja tujega jezika v Sloveniji in drugod po svetu. V nadaljevanju sem predstavila zgodovino CLIL-a, kako CLIL deluje, zakaj je pomemben, katere so njegove prednosti, zakaj je CLIL eden izmed uspešnih pristopov poučevanja tujega jezika v otroštvu, kateri so tipi CLIL-a in pa primere CLIL-a v slovenskih šolah. V empiričnem delu diplomske naloge sem prikazala stališča učencev prvega triletja osnovne šole do učenja nemškega jezika po sodobnem pristopu CLIL. Rezultati kažejo, da je zanimanje učencev za učenje nemškega jezika po sodobnem pristopu CLIL veliko. Raziskava je pokazala tudi, da se učencem učenje nemškega jezika po sodobnem pristopu CLIL zdi zanimivo vendar si kljub temu ne želijo več ur poučevanja nejezikovnih predmetov v nemškemu jeziku.

Title:
FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING IN THE FIRST CYCLE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATION AND CLIL
Abstract:
The diploma thesis presents a modern approach to teaching a foreign language CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). I indicate the important milestones in the development of CLIL through time. Different models of foreign language teaching in Slovenia and elsewhere in the world are introduced. I also present history of CLIL, how CLIL works, why CLIL is important, what its advantages are, why CLIL is one of the successful approaches to teaching a foreign language in childhood, which types of CLIL we know and cases of CLIL in Slovenian schools. In the empirical part of the thesis I present the views of pupils in the first cycle of primary school towards learning the German language in the first cycle of primary school through the modern approach CLIL. The results show the great interest of students for learning German through the modern approach CLIL. The survey also shows that students are interested in learning German through the modern approach CLIL; however, they do not want more hours devoted to learning the non-language subjects through German.
