Abstract:Projekt poti iz Kranja v Maribor je pravzaprav praktična izvedba mozaika iz ročno izdelanih ploščic. Nastal je kot delavnica, oz. prikaz izdelovanja ploščic ter polaganja mozaične dekoracije na zunanjo površino. Sočasno so nastale tudi razstava skic, fotografij in razstava likovnih del učencev po vzoru Friedensreicha Hundertwasserja. V teoretičnem delu predstavljam avtorje, ki so velik del svoje ustvarjalne produkcije posvetili mozaiku iz keramičnih ploščic. Teoretični del naloge je torej osredotočen na raziskovanje del in miselnosti umetnikov, kot so Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Antoni Gaudí in Delia Prvački. Predstavljene so teoretične in zgodovinske postavke oblikovanja iz gline, ročnega izdelovanja ploščic ter izdelovanja mozaika. Namen raziskovanja teoretičnih problemov je bil pravzaprav končna izvedba projekta. Nastal je mozaik ročno izdelanih keramičnih ploščic, umeščenih v arhitekturni prostor. Delo je postalo smiselno povezana celota, nastala na osnovi predhodne teoretične poglobitve. Končna izvedba izhaja iz konceptualnega pomena potovanja, rasti in evalvacije. Moja študijska pot je potekala iz Kranja v Ljubljano in nato v Maribor. V takem vrstnem redu potujejo tudi oblike pokrajine, ki se vijejo ob železniški progi. Skozi zgodovino mozaika in izdelovanja ploščic je bila ugotovljena najboljša opcija za izvedbo v praksi. V praktičnem delu je potovanje od idejne zasnove, pa do končne izvedbe projekta pravzaprav osnovna linija, ob kateri se prepletajo razmišljanja in vtisi krajine, ki se gledalcu ob pogledu naslikajo v mozaiku pestrih barv in bleščečih odsevov.

Title:MY JOURNEY FORM KRANJ TO MARIBOR, A HANDMADE CERAMIC TILE MOSAIC
Abstract:The project of the journey from Kranj to Maribor is represented by a practical version in the form of a mosaic from handmade tiles. The mosaic was first formed in a workshop, or rather, a demonstration of tile making and laying the mosaic decoration on an outer surface. Simultaneously, an exhibition of photographs and drawings opened, as well as an exhibition of drawings by pupils, inspired by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. In the theoretical section of my dissertation I examine authors, who have dedicated a great part of their creative production to ceramic tile mosaics. The theoretical section, as said, focuses on researching the works and mindsets of artists such as Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Antoni Gaudí and Delia Prvački. I also describe theoretical and historical views of forming clay, making tiles by hand and mosaic making. The purpose of solving the theoretical obstacles was all in order to be able to complete the project itself. What was created was a mosaic, formed from handmade ceramic tiles, placed in an architectural enviroment. The piece became a logically bound entity, based on preliminary theoretical research. The final version stems from the conceptual meaning of a jouney, growth and self-evaluation. My journey as a student ran from Kranj to Ljubljana and then on to Maribor. This is the order in which the landscape forms along the railway travel as well. The best option for the actual creation was determined by examining the history of mosaics and tile making. In the practical section, the journey from the idea to the final completion of the project is actually represented by the main line, along which contemplations and impressions of the landscape are intertwined; to the viewer, these are revealed in a mosaic of vibrant colours and shiny reflections.
