Title:COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN OF ELECTRIC CIRCUITS IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS
Abstract:My diploma consists of several topics relating to design projects for Nuclear power plants. During the time of it’s development I was employed as a design engineer for an engineering company doing projects for Nuclear power plant customers. Presented within are challenges of such work when faced with a large project such as the generator stator replacements. Our company was contracted for design engineering of generator stator instrumentation to various locations. Such work has many electrical-engineering oriented tasks and among them an important task is creation of proper documentation which will then be used by installers of said instrumentation. A lot of effort is invested into correctness of this documentation and its development. In the latter part of my diploma assignment I explore a better way for creation and management of electrical engineering data with a specially developed new program called “SamoSip” which considers defined rules and standards and on the base of input data connects components in the proper way. This is a program I’ve developed with my tutor in company, M.Šegula and I explain its operation in this diploma assignment. The ultimate purpose of the program is to advance design engineering work in our company by: • decreasing project mistakes, • consolidating data management to one location, • reducing manhours, • partial automation of project administration.
