Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi predstavljam pojem evtanazije in možne načine definiranja tega pojma, podal bom zgodovinski pregled razvoja evtanazije in opisal v kakšnih oblikah se evtanazija lahko pojavlja oziroma katere vrste evtanazije poznamo. Sledi opredelitev pojmov, ki jih ni mogoče enačiti z pojmom evtanazije oziroma so iz definicije evtanazije izvzeti. Predstavljam tudi stališča zagovornikov in nasprotnikov evtanazije, t.i. argumente "za" in "proti" evtanaziji. Ker je pri evtanaziji bistvenega pomena medicinski vidik bom opisal razmerje med bolnikom (pacientom) in zdravnikom, ki lahko nastopa bodisi kot storilec evtanazije bodisi kot oseba, ki bolniku lajša bolečine na podlagi drugih priznanih metod ( npr. metoda double effect). V istem poglavju pojasnjujem tudi vrste odgovornosti zdravnika. V šestem poglavju podrobno predstavljam ureditev evtanazije na mednarodni ravni, v evropskih državah in v svetu ter posebej položaj, ki ga ima evtanazija v Republiki Sloveniji. Sledi opis posameznih aktualnih primerov, ki so bili medijsko precej odmevni. V sklepu pa predstavljam svoja razmišljanja in pogled na problematiko evtanazije, razne ugotovitve, pa tudi dejstva, ki spodbujajo nadaljnja razmišljanja. Za konec navajam še literaturo in pravne viri, ki so mi bili v pomoč pri pisanju diplomske naloge.

Title:
EUTHANASIA BETWEEN MEDICINE AND LAW, The dilemma of legal regulation of euthanasia
Abstract:
In the diploma thesis I first introduced the concept of euthanasia and the possible ways of defining this concept, I gave a historical overview of the development of euthanasia and described different shapes in which euthanasia can occurs. Followed by definitions, which can not be equated with the concept of euthanasia or are excluded from the definition of euthanasia. I represented the views and arguments of proponents and opponents of euthanasia. Since euthanasia is essential in the medical aspect I will describe the relationship between patients and doctors who can act as either the perpetrator or euthanasia as the person who facilitates the patient's pain on the basis of other recognized methods (eg method of double effect). In the same chapter also explains the types of medical liability. In the sixth chapter I represented in detail, a system of euthanasia at the international level, in European countries and the world, and particularly the position held by euthanasia in the Republic of Slovenia. I also made a description of each current cases, which were quite high-profile media. In the conclusion I represented my thinkings and look at the issue of euthanasia, the various findings, as well as the facts that encouraging further discussions. For the end I listed legal sources and literature that helped me with writing diploma thesis.
