Abstract:Pouk slovenščine je temeljnega pomena. Učenci obiskujejo 2. in 3. razred osnovne šole.

Title:THE EFFECTS OF EXTRA CLASSES FOR GIFTED PUPILS AND THE EFFECTS OF EXTRA CLASSES FOR PUPILS WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN THE SECOND AND THIRD CLASS OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Abstract:The Slovene classes are of essential importance. The Slovene language is our native tongue, which is dealt with to the greatest extent in Slovene classes. The Slovene language is also important for other school subjects because messages are formed and transmitted in our native tongue. In everyday life it is important to master the Slovene language because in that way we can be incorporated in society. It is a wish of every parent for his/her child to be normally developed and successful in as many areas as possible. Every individual is different from another individual and everybody has his/her strengths and weaknesses. While I was doing research for my thesis, I was working with pupils who are struggling in Slovene classes and therefore have to attend extra classes specially designed for them. On top of that, I was working with gifted pupils who are extremely successful and make a great deal of progress in Slovene classes and therefore attend extra classes specially designed for them. All these pupils attend the second and third class of a Primary school. The objective of my research has been the following: I wanted to find out if both kinds of students, those who are struggling and those who are gifted, are able to make progress on the condition that a teacher works with them and encourages them in extra classes specially designed for them.
