Abstract:
Selekcija bikov kombiniranih pasem temelji razen selekcije po mlečnosti, telesnih lastnostih in po lastnostih vimena tudi na lastnostih prireje žive mase in mesa. Ugotavljamo jih na osnovi podatkov o prednikih, z direktnim testom (performans test) in po prireji zaroda (progeni test). Progeni test na lastnosti rasti je najbolj zanesljiva oblika ocenjevanja plemenskih vrednosti in zelo draga, če teče v testni postaji. »Feld« test ne povzroča tako velikih stroškov. Za zanesljivo oceno plemnenske vrednosti v »feld« testu je potrebno več informacij kot v testni postaji. V Sloveniji še ni v celoti urejena centralna baza informacij, kamor bi se prenašali podatki z raznih občasnih in stalnih ocenjevanj rasti telesnih lastnosti in podatkov ob zakolu goved.

Title:
SUITABILITY OF THE APPLICATION OF FELD TEST IN COMPARISON TO PROGENY TEST IN SLOVENIA
Abstract:
The selection of combined breeds of bulls is apart from the selection according to milk yield, muscle and udder characteristics based also on live weight gain characteristics and beef traits. These are established on the basis of data on progenitors and by a performance test and a progeny test. The application of a progeny test is the most accurate method to determine breeding values, but it is very expensive if carried out at a testing station. »Feld« test, on the other hand, does not such high costs. For a reliable evaluation of breeding values by applying a “feld” test, more information is require than at testing stations. In Slovenia, there is still no central database that would collect information on breeding values from various temporary and permanent evaluations of breeding values and data from slaughter houses.
