Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava celovito predbolnišnično oskrbo politravmatiziranca po 14-ih življenjskih aktivnostih V. Henderson in po procesu zdravstvene nege.

Title:NURSING A POLY-TRAUMATIZED PATIENT
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with a complete pre-hospital nursing of a poly-traumatized patient by V. Henderson's 14 life activities and considering the process of health nursing. Injuries are the main reason for death of young people, first and foremost because of traffic accidents, followed by work injuries and athletic injuries. It was discovered that many injuries and consequently invalidism, could be prevented with an appropriate pre-hospital nursing. Fatal injuries are conditions where the consequences depend on the space of time in which the patient receives nursing. That is the reason why in the pre-hospital sphere all the procedures and interventions have to consider the time period from the accident to the hospitalization. We demonstrated in this diploma thesis that a quick and systematic examination is the best way of identifying all of the conditions which could be life-threatening for a patient and help us decide which procedure has to be performed and when has it to be performed. That a nurse has to be qualified and professional and that she plays a very important and responsible part in an emergency was demonstrated on V. Henderson's 14 life activities and on the process of health nursing.
